Maximus LUCKY (LUCKY) is a liquid staking token that represents a proportional share in a massive, pooled 7-year HEX stake. As part of the Maximus Perpetuals ecosystem, it allows users to pool their HEX to collectively earn "Bigger Pays Better" bonuses that are typically only accessible to large-scale holders or "whales." By tokenizing the stake, LUCKY provides a way for participants to benefit from long-term staking rewards while maintaining the ability to trade their position on exchanges.

The pooled HEX within the LUCKY contract earns interest daily through the standard HEX staking protocol. Because the total amount of HEX staked by the pool is very large, it qualifies for maximum length and size bonuses. The value of each LUCKY token is designed to increase relative to HEX as interest accumulates. Holders do not need to perform any manual actions to earn this yield, as the growth is reflected in the token's redemption value over time.

The primary difference lies in the staking duration and the "Perpetual" nature of the contract. While MAXI represents a single 15-year HEX stake, LUCKY follows a 7-year cycle. Additionally, LUCKY is designed to be recurring; once a 7-year stake concludes, the contract enters a brief reload phase before automatically initiating a new 7-year stake. This makes it a mid-to-long-term option within the Maximus staking ladder, sitting between shorter-term options and the maximum 15-year commitment.

When the 7-year stake matures, a 7-day window known as the Reload Phase begins. During this time, token holders have three distinct options. First, they can simply hold their tokens, which results in their HEX and earned interest being automatically restaked for another 7 years. Second, they can redeem their LUCKY tokens by burning them to claim their share of the HEX principal and interest. Third, new users can mint LUCKY by depositing HEX into the pool at the current redemption rate.

Maximus LUCKY is built on a trustless smart contract. This means that no individual, developer, or entity has administrative access or "keys" to the HEX held within the pool. The contract operates autonomously according to its code, ensuring that stakes are ended and funds are distributed only to LUCKY token holders. This decentralized structure eliminates counterparty risk and ensures that the protocol remains permissionless and transparent for all participants interacting with the blockchain.

One of the primary benefits of LUCKY is that it is a liquid token. While the underlying HEX is locked for 7 years, you can sell your LUCKY tokens on supported cryptocurrency exchanges like LBank or various decentralized trading platforms at any time. This allows you to exit your position and access liquidity without waiting for the 7-year staking period to conclude.
